Commemorative Brick Dedications That Help Sustain the Arts at Liberty Station
Celebrate someone special with an engraved brick in Legacy Plaza. While the brick dedication program has concluded, the stories it holds continue to inspire.
A Permanent Tribute in the Heart of Legacy Plaza
In 2016, the NTC Foundation launched the Legacy Brick Campaign to celebrate the transformation of San Diego’s historic Naval Training Center into a vibrant home for the arts.
Hundreds of supporters dedicated personalized bricks, each engraved with names and messages to honor loved ones, veterans, artists, and community leaders. These bricks now pave Legacy Plaza, located behind the Dick Laub NTC Command Center at 2640 Historic Decatur Road.
Legacy Plaza: A Place of Reflection
The bricks remain a permanent part of the Arts District, visited by thousands each year and serving as a powerful reminder of those who helped build Liberty Station’s next chapter.
Please Note: Brick Dedications Have Closed
All commemorative bricks have been claimed, and no new inscriptions are being accepted at this time. However, your support is still vital to the success of Arts District Liberty Station’s mission to bring creativity, education, and cultural engagement to the community.
