A Permanent Tribute in the Heart of Legacy Plaza

In 2016, the NTC Foundation launched the Legacy Brick Campaign to celebrate the transformation of San Diego’s historic Naval Training Center into a vibrant home for the arts.

Hundreds of supporters dedicated personalized bricks, each engraved with names and messages to honor loved ones, veterans, artists, and community leaders. These bricks now pave Legacy Plaza, located behind the Dick Laub NTC Command Center at 2640 Historic Decatur Road.

Legacy Plaza: A Place of Reflection

The bricks remain a permanent part of the Arts District, visited by thousands each year and serving as a powerful reminder of those who helped build Liberty Station’s next chapter.
